She's got wisdom in her pocket and vision in her eyes…..
Well I finally jumped into the water. Not too deep now. I made my first green smoothie. I don’t know why I was so intimidated. I felt I needed all sorts of knowledge about alkaline and pH and food combining before I began. Poppycock! I don’t know squat. I just took a recipe off the web, tweaked it according what I had on hand, and blended. I was fearful it wouldn’t work without an expensive Vita-mix or a Blendtec… but again, Hogwash! My regular, old, plain, run of the mill blender worked great.
Kelly’s first green smoothie: 1very ripe mango, 1/2 banana, and handful of baby spinach leaves (organic of course). I added about 3/4 cup of filtered water and a couple of ice cubes and TADA… a delicious smoothie. The green was bright and my kids yelped and ran from the kitchen, but it tasted great. I could barely notice the spinach but for its exceptional green hue. I feel healthier already! Join me for a smoothie, won’t you?

What to blog about? That is the question. I want to talk about Real Food, Engrossing Books, Home Education, Ministry, Friends and Good Coffee (the two are inseperable). These are the usual subjects of fixation within my day. I also obsess over the headlines. Actually I frequently can be found yelling at the television and trying to show restraint by not throwing things at CNN.(It's not a good example for the children) So what's on your mind? Want to talk a little bit?
